Technical Sales Specialist (TSS)

ABOUT THE POSITION 

The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides high level technical design support and guidance to customers. Building a strong, trust-based technical customer relationship is the cornerstone of success in the role.  The TSS will collaborate with Account Managers and the Customer to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings. The TSS provides an architectural perspective across the Net Insight product portfolio and can leverage her / his technical expertise for specific opportunities. The TSS also acts in an increasingly consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert, or trusted technical advisor in her / his field, by the account team and customers, and can deliver technical presentations to customer prospects as well as technical management in existing customers. All TSS engage customers face-to-face or via collaborative tools and technology such as Zoom and Slack. 

The TSS will work in a variety of customer situations such as:

  • Discovery of the customer opportunity and engage the end customer.
  • Gather and Analyze Customer Requirements
    • Define the architectural concepts and gather customer knowledge.
    • Analyze current customer technical model.
    • Design future solution to meet anticipated business needs.
  • Establishing personal credibility with the customer by
    • Preparing and presenting a Vision and Scope Statement suitable to the audience.
    • Provide technical insight into business and network analysis.

The TSS will also be responsible for the following:

  • Being customer business aware (understanding the value chain.)
  • Communicate and present Net Insight value proposition.
  • Own the technical architecture for supported accounts.
  • Consulting skills and consultative approach to gain customer trust.
  • Accountability; Get things done without direct line authority using personal influence and resolve conflicts.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and technologies.
  • Value creation according to company core values.
  • Proactive customer and partner approach.
  • Design Net Insight solution (Visio or equivalent) and configure Net Insight solution (Bill Of Materials.)
  • Standardized demos for Nimbra products and services
  • Technical account strategy/plan development
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Technical solution description, including analysis of and response to customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs.)
  • Domestic and International travel 
  • Remote working opportunity


YOUR BACKGROUND

We seek an individual with the ability to understand complex customer problems as well as explaining technical solutions as part of the job. The applicant can set up Proof of Concept and demo environments, hands-on. We are looking for a self-motivated, engaged person who strives for personal development and who enjoys being in contact with people, both inside and outside Net Insight. The applicant must have excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as demonstrated, excellent presentation skills. 
Previous knowledge of media networks, media transportation, and media contribution / distribution is a pre-requisite. Experience from broadcast or telecommunications industry is a plus. 

Experience with Nimbra, live streaming or similar products is a strong plus. The candidate will also receive mentoring from present pre-sales engineers in the course of her / his work.

Spanish language to a business standard is a major advantage.
